John McShane is a seasoned seed industry leader with over 40 years of experience specializing in grass, turf, and native seed varieties tailored for conditions across the western United States. As President of Stover Seed Company, he guides the organization with deep expertise in seed performance, regional adaptation, and quality assurance, contributing to the company’s strong reputation in both professional and environmental seed markets. John also holds leadership roles in key industry associations, including the Pacific Seed Association, the California Seed Association, and the Southern California Turfgrass Council, and is appointed to the California Secretary of Food and Agriculture’s Seed Advisory Board in recognition of his professional insight. His work includes hands-on involvement with turfgrass testing and collaboration with universities and breeders to evaluate and improve grass varieties.
